Ingredients

  • Baby potatoes 300 gram


  • Onion 2 big size


  • Ginger garlic paste 2table spoon


  • Tomato 1 small


  • Curd 2table spoon


  • Bengali vaja masala 1table spoon


  • Coriander powder 1 table spoon


  • Whole garam masala for tempering(2 cardamom,4 cloves,1 inch cinamon)


  • Cashew,almond 4 no. Each


  • Coriander leaves 1/2 cup chopped


  • Tamarind pulp 2 table spoon


  • Oil 2 table spoon

Directions

  • 1. Boil the potatoes with salt
  • 2. Make a paste with onion,ginger,garlic,green chili,
  • 3. Make a paste with cashew and almond
  • 4. Heat the pan ,add oil,fry the potatoes till become golden brown
  • 5. In oil add whole garam masala for tempering .Then add onion paste and cook till oil seperates.
  • 6. Add salt,sugar,red chili powder,coriander powder and a splash of water and cook 2 minutes..
  • 7. Add beaten curd and tamarind pulp and cook for some times
  • 8. Now add the fried potatoes and cook for 2 mnts..add hot water and simmer the flame and cover with a lid for 10 mnts ..
  • 9. Once the potatoes become fully cooked then add cashew and almond paste ,add coriander leaves and bengali bhaja masala.adjust salt and sugar...cook for 1 mnt ,,then switch off the flame..give 10mnts standing time and serve with rice or roti..
